The Mission: Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).
Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently
simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. The key to
beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic.
1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than
a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete
the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some
tasks such overseas trips or outdoor activities.

Exercise at least 2 days a week.
Eat healthy lunches.
Cut back on caffeine and try to start the day without coffee. (The employees at the gas station shouldn't know my coffee / danish / method of payment preferences.)
Stay on top of my planning and grading without being at school before 7 and after 5 every day.
Meal plan every weekend, grocery shop for the week, and make dinner at least 3 weekday nights.
Play with Trogdor or take him for a walk 15 minutes every day.
Laundry, dishes, and tidy the house every weekend.
Plan 2 trips: one for summer and one for fall break (October).
Finish my MA by July.
Spend more quality time with Nathan each week.
Go camping this summer.

So I have finally decided on the 101 items that are going to be on my list, they can be seen to the right in my blog and I am also posting them below. I was inspired to start this challenge when I heard some talk about it on the cooking message board I peruse. Some of the ladies were discussing the lists they had started and I thought it was a great idea, so I started one of my own. At first I was able to think of a lot of items I wanted to include, but around the 50-60 mark I lost steam. I started browsing through other people's blogs and looking at the things they had listed to get inspiration for the last items on my list. After about a week my list was done and I have been working on the blog ever since! I just can't seem to get a template and layout that makes me smile, and I wanted this page to be somewhere I would go to check on my progress and feel inspired to keep going. If anyone knows of some nice blogger templates that inspire you and make you feel serene let me know. Until I find the perfect template (or break down and spend months figuring out how to create my own), this will do. I also have to give most of the credit to my husband, because he has been helping me a TON with changing the code to make the blog do what I want. I also have been learning some HTML and CSS in the process, so that is nice =]
So now I give you my list of 101 goals I want to accomplish in 1001 days (2.75 years). To the right you can keep track of my progress (pink is done and green is in progess). Thanks for visiting!
